The British National Age Group Championships, held on October 20th in Leeds, saw a fantastic performance from Causer Strength athletes, bringing home medals and personal bests, with a remarkable 4th-place finish for Jean-Baptiste Adams.
Medal Successes: Stefano Catalidi and Alex Jamieson
Stefano Catalidi continued to demonstrate his prowess, claiming the title of 89kg champion. Opening his competition with a 132kg snatch and 162kg clean & jerk, Stefano’s performance secured him a dominant victory in his category.
Alex Jamieson, competing in the women’s 76kg category, had a stellar performance, setting new personal bests with a 73kg snatch and a 90kg clean & jerk. Alex's progress has been impressive, and her performance in Leeds highlighted her potential. Both Stefano and Alex are now turning their focus to the English Senior Championships in December, continuing their journey towards greater achievements.
A Strong Comeback from Jean-Baptiste Adams
In the 81kg category, Jean-Baptiste Adams delivered a strong comeback performance. Despite challenges, he lifted 98kg in the snatch and 120kg in the clean & jerk, earning a commendable 4th place. His resilience and hard work were evident, making him a standout in the competition.
Looking Ahead to Major Competitions
While Stefano and Alex prepare for the English Senior Championships, the team at Causer Strength is also gearing up for international competition. Ramiro Mora, who trains with the team, will represent the Refugee Olympic Team at the upcoming World Championships. His preparation has been intensive, and the entire Causer Strength community is eager to support him on the global stage.
